DETAILED INFORMATION
Both nickel alloy 200 & nickel alloy 201 are corrosion-resistant and versatile, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. nickel alloy 200 & nickel alloy 201 are commercially pure nickel grades containing a minimum of 99% nickel. Iron, silver, manganese, copper, carbon, and sulfur make up the final 1% or less.
In some industrial applications, low-alloy materials offer advantages over other materials. As a result of nickel’s value, nickel is “effectively and extensively recycled” and nickel materials make existing products and processes more energy efficient, durable, and tough. It is therefore used more sustainably than some other metals and metal alloys and is responsibly managed throughout its lifecycle.
nickel alloy 200 & nickel alloy 201 are both commonly used across a wide range of industries. Since these Grades contain a high concentration of quality nickel, they are highly resistant to many reducing chemicals and caustic alkalies and offer excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Additionally, the materials are tough and have good magnetic properties. The material comes in two grades, both of which have consistent specifications that make them an attractive option for a wide range of applications.
The main difference between the two grades is the carbon content. Nickel 201 is a low-carbon version of Nickel 200, with a maximum carbon content of 0.02%, compared to 0.15% for Nickel 200. Due to this, they are often used for a variety of purposes.
Although they have their own strengths, they are often combined to give the best of both worlds. Customers can benefit from Nickel 200’s strength while maintaining Nickel 201’s compositional stability.
